15 years ago… We were commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the end of World War II, by issuing a ceramic based on Anne Franks hiding place. Available to members of our collectors club only, and with a portion of the sale proeeds going to the Care of Victims of Torture Charity, this was a ceramic which will always have a special place in Hazle’s heart.
The other new building issued at that time was the Turret Pub, based on the Cornucopia Pub at Southend on Sea, Essex. How time flies! It seems like only yesterday we were creating the first samples for this piece, and this year will see us produce the very last of the Turret Pubs. Over the years it has been known at the White Hart, The Old Bull, The Cornucopia, and even formed part of our special Jubilee Collection.

10 years ago… We were riding on a high from our 10th anniversary celebrations, and shipping out our Hazle 2000 limited edition ceramics to collectors all over the world!
Do you remember the Filofax Building? Boots the Chemist? or the ornate and unusual Turkey Cafe, which was based on a 1901 building in Leicester, This particular ceramic is now a rare piece and highly sort after – so if you have one of these in your collection, take good care of it!
This was also the debut of the London Tavern, in Fleet Street, London. This tall thin building, which has been a pub for over 200 years, and was frequented by Pepys, Thackeray and Charles Dickens is still a part of our collection today, and has been the starting point for limited edition paintings including ‘The Mayflower Pub’ celebrating our move from Brentwood to Wickford, and the ‘Catch-a-Mouse Inn’ featuring Carol’s delicate cat and mouse portraits.
